It is not sufficient if you have mastered the tech.
fundas. You may be a programming whiz - but you still
have to get through several rounds of the selection
process before the companies get to know of your technical
potential. This would include aptitude tests, GDs, tech
and HR interviews. The sad fact is no engineering college
actually trains students on these very crucial aspects.
Left to their own devices most students fumble and waste
the opportunities that come their way. We, at CMC Liberty,
leave no stone unturned to ensure that the students
get all that is required to help them succeed in every
round of the selection process. Little wonder then,
that our success rate for most campus interviews is
more than 50% whereas in most campuses the average success
rate varies from 10-25%.
Resume Preparation
Your resume is the only document which any organisation
uses to shortlist candidates for the interviews. And since it precedes any face to
face interaction it creates the first impression even before you walk into an interview room. And most interview
questions are strictly based on what you present in
your resume. In an exclusive resume preparation session
we sensitise our students to what companies look for
in a resume and importantly what pitfalls to avoid.
Every resume prepared on the basis of these inputs is
carefully vetted by HR pros at our centre so that you
put your best foot forward.
Vivas
After every module in EDGE you would be forced to appear
for a viva, which for us is a mock technical interview
in that module. While you would get exposed to important
interview questions, we get feedback about your knowledge
in that particular module so that we can take remedial
steps. if required. By the time you finish EDGE you
would have faced not one or two but six vivas - that
means six individual interview experiences.
Group Discussions
Several companies use GDs to eliminate candidates. And
if you are not prepared, chances are that you will get
eliminated without getting an opprtunity to show your
technical prowess and what a pity it would be! At CMC
Liberty, just as everything else, we don’t leave
this to chance. You would go through a very structured
preparation effort for the GD because we recognise GD
to be more than just an elimination round. It allows
us to expose you to those essential team skills - qualities
much in demand by the IT companies.
Mock Interviews
An interview is a lot different from a written test. Often we find even academically brilliant students fumbling in this crucial round. Mock interviews conducted by industry pros give you those important inputs which you will never get anywhere - awareness, exposure, practice and ultimately confidence. You obviously would like to know - How should I wish the interviewers? Should I barge in or knock on the door? What should I do if I don’t know the answer to a question? What should be my answer if they ask me - What are your strengths/weaknesses? Where do you see yourself 5 years down the line? Why should we select you? Several such doubts torment you. Seasoned veterans at CMC Liberty help you with answers to all these and much more. Important feedback on your body language, questions you are likely to get on the basis of your background, answers you shoud avoid etc. Just to make sure you impress the interviewers and walkaway with the job.
Aptitude Test Coaching
Nothing to do with tech fundas - but important all the
same. Because if you don’t clear this you fall
by the way side, what ever be your other qualities.
At CMC Liberty you go through a very rigorous aptitude
test coaching covering all areas - verbal, quant and
analytical. Classes are handled by very competent faculty
with years of experience in this field. Carefully researched
material based on the latest trends so that you get
exposed to all patterns of questions. And a battery
of mock tests based on the actual exam patterns of various
companies. Our students find most aptitude tests a cake
walk. Our track record is a very impressive 90% while
in the best engineering colleges the success rate barely
crosses 40%.
